- ACADEMIC BIOGRAPHY:
I am a senior pursuing B.S. degrees in Evolutionary Anthropology and Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources.
- CURRENT PROJECTS:
My senior thesis will examine the effects of wildfires on the energetics and behavior of wild orangutans at the Tuanan Orangutan Research Station in Borneo, Indonesia. I will be analyzing the activity patterns, cortisol levels, and energy balance of the orangutans changed before, during, and after periods of heavy smoke to better understand the health effects of smoke on them. This research has implications for conservation of wild orangutans and their habitats.
